R. Balakrishnan
R. Balakrishnan is a researcher, author, poet, and former IAS officer of the Odisha cadre, with over 35 years of research on the Indus Civilization and Dravidian studies. He has authored 17 books, including his magnum opus Journey of a Civilization: Indus to Vaigai, and conceptualized Odia: Journey of a Language. His research articles on Odisha and its culture have been translated into Odia. He currently heads the International Institute of Tamil Studies and serves as Honorary Consultant at the Indus Research Centre, Roja Muthiah Research Library.
