Chandrika Parmar
Dr. Chandrika Parmar is a faculty member at S. P. Jain Institute of Management and Research (SPJIMR), Mumbai. She is Director, Department Development of Corporate Citizenship (DoCC), and leads a non-classroom, experiential learning program that connects MBA and executive MBA participants with civil society organizations across India.
Dr. Parmar holds a DPhil in Management Research from Saïd Business School, University of Oxford. Her work is interdisciplinary in orientation, bringing together management studies with disaster studies, sociology of violence, environmental values, science and technology studies, pedagogy, and futures thinking. Her research examines how institutions, education, and everyday practices shape ethical action, responsibility, and citizenship in contexts of inequality and uncertainty.
She has published widely, including recent work on COVID-19, ecological responsibility, and active citizenship, and has undertaken social impact and monitoring studies for a range of organizations
