Akshita Nanda
Akshita Nanda is the author of the novels Beauty Queens of Bishan and Nimita’s Place, with the latter being adapted for the stage in 2019, and having co-won the Singapore Literature Prize, the country’s highest honour for English fiction, in 2020. Akshita is the creative mind behind the online choose-your-own-adventure, Kallang River, and is also a full-time journalist with the Straits Times. She is often invited to contribute academic writing or guest columns; to speak on literary and academic panels; and to teach at educational institutions.
