Moutushi Mukherjee
Dr Moutushi Mukherjee has been a commissioning editor for 13 years across a number of noted national and international publishing houses, such as Penguin Random House, Oxford University Press, Orient Blackswan, and Pearson Education. In her capacity as an editor and publisher, she currently leads Penguin India’s Classics and Translations program in fiction and nonfiction. She also leads the joint list with Zubaan Books for Penguin. Her writing has appeared in The Hindu, Indian Express, and the Sociological Bulletin. Moutushi is the editor for International Booker Prize winners Daisy Rockwell, Banu Mushtaq, and Deepa Bhasthi. She has a PhD in sociology from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai.
