Marie Desmeures
Marie Desmeures is the editor of Actes Sud and publishes Francophone literature (Kamel Daoud, In Koli Jean Bofane, Laurent Gaudé, Wilfried N’Sondé, Joseph Andras, Claudie Gallay, Aki Shimazaki, amongst others) as well as foreign literature, especially from Sub-Saharan Africa (Yvonne Adhiambo Owuor, Lola Shoneyin, Sefi Atta, Helon Habila and Maaza Mengiste). She is also the director of the pocketbook series called Babel. She has worked on a number of collaborations with publishers from Algeria, Morocco and Tunisia.
