Renuka Chatterjee started out as a journalist with the Times of India in the late ‘80s and helped launch The Saturday Times, the country’s first colour weekend supplement. She entered publishing in 1992 as Associate Editor with Penguin Books and has since worked as editor-in-chief of HarperCollins India and subsequently, Roli Books and Westland Ltd. She is currently Vice-President, Publishing with Speaking Tiger Publishing, an independent publishing house with a focus on quality fiction and non-fiction.
