Born in Kerala, K.S.Radhakrishnan studied sculpture at Kalabhavana, Santiniketan under the tutelage of eminent sculptors like Late Ram Kinkar Baij and Late Sarbari Roy Chowdhury. He imbibed the spirit of freedom of a work of art and a creative artist from these artists and also from the ambience of Santiniketan. Radhakrishnan chose to work in the medium of bronze, which is one of the most enduring mediums, and even during the adverse materialistic conditions of late 1980s persistently worked in bronze.
Among the numerous group shows at which his works have been exhibited are the National Exhibition at New Delhi(1980); Triennalle India (1990); Salon International de la Sculpture Contempraine at Nouveav Forum des Halles, Paris (1995); Hippodrome d’e lonchamp, Paris(1996); Espace Michel Simon-Noisy le grand, France(1996). He Has also had more than fifteen solo shows including at Center des Bonds de Marne in Le Perreux-Bry sur Marne(Paris), Lalit Kala Academy (New Delhi). Birla Academy of Art and Culture(Kolkata).
