Alexandra Büchler

Alexandra Büchler is director of Literature Across Frontiers, the European Platform for Literary Exchange, Translation and Policy Debate, whose mission is to foster intercultural dialogue through literature and translation, and to encourage literary exchange between Europe and other parts of the world, including India, where LAF has organised literary projects since 2009. She has over 25 publications to her name as editor and literary translator. Among the many authors she translated into her native Czech are JM Coetzee, David Malouf and Jean Rhys. Her latest publications are The House of a Thousand Floors by Jan Weiss, translation into English of a modern classic novel, and Zero Hours on the Boulevard, an anthology of young authors from Europe and Wales she co-edited.
